With 11 Oscar nominationsincluding Best Picture and 5 BAFTA Awards (Best Actress, Best Production Design, Best Costumes, Best Makeup and Hairstyling and Best Special Visual Effects), George Lanthimos’ Poor Things will be available exclusively on Disney+ in Greece, on March 7.

Directed by George Lanthimos and produced by Emma Stone, comes the incredible story and surprising development of Bella Baxter (Emma Stone), a young woman brought back to life by the brilliant but unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe). Under Baxter’s tutelage, Bella has a thirst for learning. Looking for the experience she lacks, she runs into Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo), a shrewd and corrupt lawyer, and lives an exciting adventure from continent to continent. Freed from the prejudices of her time, Bella sticks to her goal of defending equality and freedom.

Based on the novel by Alasdair Gray, the film is written by Tony McNamara, marking the second collaboration between Lanthimos and McNamara, following The Favored One, which is also available on Disney+. The film “Poor Things” is a production of Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe, Giorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone.
