“Encantado’s” premieres a new season with new adventures from the troupe starting March 12th on Globoplay. Mateus Solano will participate in one of the 12 new episodes and promises to bring humor to the streaming musical.
During a dream, Celso, Solano’s character, transforms the Encantado’s market —which originally became the stage for rehearsals at the Joia do Encantado samba school—into a Broadway musical, and the entire cast joins in the fun.
The actor remembers that he was traveling when he received the invitation from Henrique Sauer, the production’s artistic director: “My relationship with ‘Encantado’s’ goes back to when the first season was being recorded. I was doing ‘Irma Vap’ in the theater with Luis Miranda, So I listened to a lot of the series. Then I watched it and, from the first episode, I was completely in love, because it’s an amusement park”, highlights Mateus, who appears on the scene as a doctor.
“Humor has always been present in my career, and even before it. I think, before I was an actor, I was a funny guy. It was always very natural and I brought humor, in some way, even to the most serious characters; I I try to bring some question, some humor. And it will be delicious because it’s humor in a musical”, he adds.
