BBB 22: Eslô asked friends to take care of her mother and wants to give her parents a home

With a name inspired by a country, the influencer and miss Pernambuco Eslovênia Marques, 25, moved the internet and became news in Brazil and abroad due to the unusual name when she entered Big Brother Brasil 22 (Globo). In confinement, colleagues had difficulty memorizing the name and confused it with that of other countries, which is not uncommon in the model’s daily life outside of reality.

Student Júlia Aguiar, 18, who has been friends with Slovenia for five years, reveals that she always introduces herself as Eslô because people take time to learn the name and exchange it for other countries. But it reveals that the confusions could have been worse if the mother had not forbidden the father – a history lover – to give her the name Bosnia-Herzegovina, inspired by political conflicts, in the 1990s. friends would call her shit”, says Júlia.

The sister’s name also caught the attention of the Slovenian Consulate in Brazil, which posted a message on Twitter congratulating her on entering the BBB. The friend says that the model will be shocked when she sees the message and learns that she was invited to visit the country. “One of her dreams is to visit Slovenia, there are many castles there”, says her friend.

According to Júlia, the influencer entered BBB 22 with the objective of winning the prize of R$ 1.5 million to buy a house for her parents, who still live on rent. But she says it was very difficult for her to leave her mother at home alone to participate in the program, because she is very attached.

With her father working in another city during the week and her brother doing an English exchange in Ireland, Eslô feared that her mother would be too lonely during her time of confinement and asked her friends to take care of her during this period.

Friends are also responsible for the influencer’s social networks, today with 2 million followers on Instagram, while she is confined to the most watched house in Brazil. “There are five friends, four men and one woman, taking care of the hammocks”, says Júlia. The names, however, are kept secret.

Born in Paraíba, Eslô grew up in Caruaru (PE). She studied physics at the Federal University of Pernambuco, but dropped out of the course after winning Miss Pernambuco. She then decided to study marketing and started to act as an influencer. According to Júlia, the sister will be very happy to see her growth on social networks, having jumped from 58 thousand followers to the current 2 million.

The friend assesses that Eslô is apprehensive about the game, afraid of cancellation, but she is being herself, even when she starts a romance with Lucas at Casa and when she is punished by the production for breaking a camera during a party. “She is very clumsy”, says Júlia, who reveals similar stories that Eslô has already experienced, such as when she broke the remote control in a hotel while doing somersaults in her room.

About Slovenia’s relationship with Lucas, the friend sees it as healthy and bets that the romance will also remain out of the program. “I figured she would form a couple, because she is very selective and tends to have long-term relationships with one person.”
