In one of the most lively areas of the center of Athens, the Kolonakiwe are guided by Dimitris Skarmoutsos with the “Neighborhoods in Piato“, the Saturday 09 March at 16.45.
A famous and cosmopolitan area that changes its face almost every day and with entrepreneurs, chefs and shops constantly presenting new and nice culinary ideas.
The tour of the culinary treasures of Kolonaki starts from “Kora Bakery”, which is the evolution of the classic bakery in its best possible form. Super slow-rising sourdough breads, fluffy and with a crispy crust in a variety of wheat, rye, wholemeal, oat and delicious focaccia. The fluffy croissants from an excellent dough with French butter have a special place.
An atmospheric chocolatier is the second stop on Dimitris Skarmoutsou’s tour. “Dark Side of Chocolate” in Solonos specializes in hot drinks made from fine chocolate, organic milk and original aromas. Among its products are fine chocolates with olive oil and Greek herbs.
Next is “Smash Burgers”, whose menu bears the signature of chef Michalis Nourloglou. Handmade fries and burgers with dry aged ground beef which are pressed with the press on the plate giving a special and smashed result.
The last stop of the tour in Kolonaki is “Zurbaran”, where the menu is signed by Georgianna Chiliadaki, a chef who has written her own history in fine dining.
