It is a fact that a total of 14 players have left this year’s Survivor so far. However, the interesting thing is that only 9 of them competed and were left out of the game through the dueling process. The first voluntary departure was that of Christos Volikakis. The cycling world champion was having a hard time in the game when it came to relationships with his team. After a big fight with the old players and especially Alexis Pappas, he decided to ask to leave the game.
A few episodes later, Angelos Georgoudakis returns from the hospital to the beach to announce that he is returning to Greece. The machete fighter was poisoned by coral while snorkeling. The toxic substance left in his body from the bite forced him to leave the game.
Another big loser was Kostas Vougioukalakis. The player barely had time to meet his teammates and bring a point. Moments later he left for the hospital, and at the next council, Lianos announced his retirement.
The departure of Olga Piliaki also caused a sensation. The player was suffering for several days from a health problem, for which it was finally deemed appropriate to withdraw.
The latest case of this “plague” was Pantelis Giannakakis. The player managed to compete for just a few days and was injured early on. Unfortunately for him, his injury did not mean that he should retreat, as a result of which Giorgos Lianos announced his retirement in the last episode.
