BBB 24: ‘From a fair play point of view, I don’t think it was fair’, says Wanessa about expulsion

After being expelled from BBB 24 for aggression, Wanessa Camargo spoke to Fantástico about what happened and the accusations of racism against Davi.

In an interview with Renata Ceribelli, she told her version of the episode that led to the expulsion. “I was at the party, I drank a little too much and I remember that my hand touched the bed and bumped into Davi’s foot. At the same time, I realized that it had been inconvenient and I apologized to him”, described Wanessa.

The next morning, she was called to the confessional and disqualified from the program. “Under the rules of the program, I think it was fair. But from a fair play point of view, I don’t think it was fair,” declared the singer.

Asked by Renata Ceribelli how she would feel if the situation had been the opposite, Wanessa recalled that she was tripped by Davi during a game of tag team. “It hurt me, but I know it wasn’t intentional. But I could have used that rule to my advantage,” she said.

Regarding the reproduction of structural racism, for which she had recently apologized on her social networks, Wanessa recalled her own problematic statements.

“Now I understand this place of pain. When I left, I was scared by the way people were seeing me. Being put in a place as serious as the word racist is something I can’t wear,” he confessed.

“But I listened to people who have a place to talk about this and I recognized that I am a white, privileged person and that I will never know how some words that have no effect for me can have any effect on other people”, explained Wanessa, who returned to say that you want to study the subject and “do some literacy”.

“Today I understand that some words hurt Davi in ​​this place and I hope to have the opportunity to talk to him and apologize, yes”, concluded the singer.
