Blake Lively apologizes for joke about edited photo of Kate Middleton

by

Actress Blake Lively has apologized for mocking the edited image of Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales. Lively had made a joking post promoting her line of drinks and, after the revelation that the princess had cancer, she used social media this Friday (22) to retract her views.

The actress posted a message on Instagram hours after Kate told the world about her cancer diagnosis in a video released by Kensington Palace, the family home of Kate and Prince William.

Blake began by saying he needed to get something off his chest, even if no one cared, considering the shock of the news released by the British royals. He continued: “I made a silly post around the ‘Photoshop mistakes’ frenzy, and oh man, it embarrassed me today.”

“Sorry. Sending love and good wishes to everyone, always,” he added.

Blake was trying to make amends for posting a clearly edited image promoting his beverage business, Betty Buzz, which featured an unusually large thumb and a floating lemon. The actress was referring to Kate’s edited Mother’s Day photo that sparked a series of theories about what was wrong with the Princess of Wales.

In the caption, Blake said she was “so excited” to share the Betty Buzz photo and hinted at Kate Middleton’s disappearance. “Now you know why I’ve been away.”

The Princess of Wales has disappeared from the spotlight due to cancer, which was discovered during her stomach surgery in January.
