Kate Middleton’s uncleGary Goldsmith, has apologized for criticizing Meghan Markle, who he called a “funny girl,” in an interview with The Times.

It is worth noting that the interview was given before the Princess of Wales announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer. In the interview, Kate Middleton’s uncle spoke, not so flatteringly, about the marriage of the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry.

“This interview and photo shoot took place a week ago and went to print before I heard the sad news about my niece Kate”the 58-year-old wrote on social media.

“My thoughts and prayers are with Kate and the extended family at this difficult time and I am deeply upset at the timing of this article,” he continued.

“I hope this draws a line over the continued speculation and horrible conspiracies. Let’s give Kate, William and the kids time and show our love.”.

Throughout the interview, Gary Goldsmith called Meghan Markle “unstable’ and ‘bad’ for their country. He also said he did not appreciate the fact that Markle accused members of the royal family of making racist comments about the color of little Archie’s skin.

“I am so angry about what Meghan said about Kate. Kate knows her family roots and is proud of them. I’m sorry, but Meghan Markle is not a good person.” he added himself.
