The long-awaited film about the life and career of Michael Jackson is expected to be released in April 2025
After the furore caused by the uncanny resemblance of Michael Jackson’s 27-year-old nephew Jafar (son of Jermaine Jackson), who plays MJ’s uncle in the director’s much-anticipated biopic Antoine Foucault with Title “Michael”, more and more information about the cast is coming out.
Among the roles for which the actors have been chosen are legendary personalities of the music industry, such as Diana RossThe Quincy Jones and the King of Pop’s older sister, Latoya Jackson.
According to a publication of Variety, the protagonist of the series “The Vampire Diaries”, Kat Graham will play the iconic singer, songwriter and actress and close friend of the ‘Queen’ of Pop, Diana Ross.
The role of famed producer Quincy Jones – an influential figure in the life of the late Michael Jackson, who met the would-be King of Pop when he was just 12 years old – will be played by Kendrick Sampson.
Motown Records founder Berry Gordy will be played by Larange Tate and LaToya Jackson has been cast as Michael Jackson’s older sister. Jessica Sula.

Kat Graham wrote of her new role in a social media post: “Thankful to play the legendary Diana Ross… directed by the great Antoine Fuqua. I can’t wait for everyone to see the film and her brilliant performances. The film is being made in collaboration with the foundation that manages the assets and copyrights of the phenomenon artist and is described as “an authentic cinematic portrayal of the singer’s legacy”.
However, the director of the Michael Jackson documentary ‘Leaving Neverland’ has branded the film “laundry” because it ignores allegations of child sexual abuse against the late singer.
