Clips from old and new episodes of The Simpsons are making the rounds on the internetwhere it appears that the series – among others – he also predicted the disaster with the collapse of the Baltimore bridge!

User Mamma Gypsy uploaded a clip from a recent episode to TikTok(Season 35, Episode 8), where Homer is in Scotland, in front of the Forth Bridge, while in the waters of the river there is also a merchant ship, heading towards the bridge.

The resemblance of the bridge, ship and scenery to the Baltimore Bridge is almost uncanny.

TikTok user Canaanite uploaded a video from a 1996 episode where Hank Scorpio creates a Doomsday device and demonstrates its capabilities to the government by blowing up a bridge. However, the episode is about the Queensboro Bridge in New York, not the Francis Scott Key in Baltimore.

Perhaps the most shocking “proof” of the Simpsons prediction for Baltimore is a Tik Tok video showing fictional news anchor Kent Brockman reading the news of the bridge collapse, including the exact time and date it happened.

However, the video that was widely circulated in the early hours of the disaster in Baltimoreturned out to be fake, edited with AI technology.

Generally, the iconic animated comedy The Simpsons, is known for “predicting” certain historical events before they happen in real life.

That list includes Donald Trump’s presidency, Super Bowl winners, and Disney’s takeover of 20th Century Fox.
