The Saturday, March 30we travel to a remote rocky place on its northeastern coast Canada. Fogo is a small island with a length of 24 km and extreme weather conditions – in summer, the temperature reaches 25°C, while in winter, the sea freezes.

With 2,500 inhabitants, most of whom are involved in fishing, Fogo looks barren and inhospitable but first impressions deceive us.

The Fogo Island Inn is the creation of a former resident of the island, whose vision is to keep the community and the tradition of the area alive. It is located at the edge of the island and its architectural design has been inspired by fishermen’s huts. Everything in it – from the furniture and clothing to the food – comes from the local community, while it has 29 ultra-luxurious suites with endless views of the North Atlantic.

According to its owner, the hotel is an extension of the island while offering a perfect combination of relaxation and tranquility. The key words are isolation and hospitality.
