Maraisa vents after Marília Mendonça’s death: ‘Asking to be a nightmare’

The singer Maraisa, 33, from the duo with Maiara, made a vent in the early hours of this Thursday (11) about the death of singer Marília Mendonça in a plane crash last Friday (5). Maraisa was very close to the artist and has shown her followers how she has suffered with her departure.

“Another night I go to sleep asking to wake up and everything is just a nightmare, I can’t take this looping anymore”, wrote the artist on her Twitter. A short time before, she even shared a video singing alongside Marília.

“But my smile is a weapon of dissimulation, whoever looks at my mouth is lost in the attention. That way I prevent them from seeing my heart cry”, he wrote in the tweet caption, quoting an excerpt from the song “Oi” by Fabiano Cambota.

After participating in the wake and funeral procession of Marília Mendonça, held this Sunday (7), the singer also vented on social networks. “Everything in my body hurts. I only know how to talk crying and you know very well how bad I am at these things,” he wrote.

“I will never understand! But I will always love you. And I will honor your name and your dreams until the end of my life,” continued the artist. Mendonça, known as the “queen of suffering”, and the duo formed by Maiara and Maraísa they would go on the Festival das Patroas tour in 2022. The three would perform from March in Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília and São Paulo.

“What about our dreams? What about our plans?”, asked Maraisa in the text published in the early hours of this Saturday (7). Unreconciled, she feels alpha. “I start to say something and forget! I’m strong and, suddenly, I go off the rail! I’m going to sing and it seems like I’ve never done that in my life,” he added.
