The red carpet of Hollywood’s biggest movie night will be rolled out a week earlier in 2025. More specifically, the 97th award of Oscar Awards will be held on March 2according to the announcement of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of the USA.
It is noted that this year’s ceremony, which had special Greek interest due to George Lanthimos and Alexander Payne, took place on March 10.
It was watched by approximately 19.5 million viewers, a number increased by approximately 4% compared to the previous year, while it is the third time in a row that it shows an increase in viewership.

According to Variety, the award ceremony will take place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live once again by the American television network ABC.
The submission deadline for the general entry categories is Thursday, November 14. Preliminary voting for the shortlists in ten categories will take place from 9 to 13 December, with the results announced on 17 December. Voting for the nominations is set for January 8-12, 2025 with the official announcement taking place on January 17.
The glitzy 2025 Golden Globes ceremony, considered a precursor to the Oscars after signing a five-year deal with CBS, will be held on January 5.
