Megan Thee Stallion poses for the magazine cover “Women’s Health” and impresses… The 29-year-old rapper shows off her shapely figure and “breaks” her silence after a long time.

The famous artist spoke about how she overcame the pain and healed her wounds from her ex-partner, Tony Lanez, who shot her in the leg in 2020 after a party they had performed at together.

The singer also endured hate from fellow artists and others – who questioned her memory of that night – despite being the victim.

“I knew I wasn’t myself. It took me a while to admit that I was depressed,” she said with disarming honesty in her interview. The star started psychotherapy to deal with her mental health and also started working out.

Megan, who designed a sportswear collection for Nike, enjoys training on the beach and runs up and down the sand for 40 minutes. The star also changed her diet, reducing the amount of red meat, cognac, soda, juice, tuna and bread she ate.

Her daily meal plan usually includes a smoothie or green juice for breakfast, salmon with vegetables for lunch and dinner, with vegetables being her snack of choice.

The rapper also says she writes a journal every morning, meditates, prays, plays with her dogs, listens to music and does a face mask. She mentioned that personal time is something she needs and that she now takes care of herself. “I like to get up and be able to be calm,” she explained, explaining that she likes to shower because she loves the sound of the water.

After the shooting, the artist could not walk and had to undergo surgery to remove the bullet fragments. It took a long time for Megan to heal her emotional trauma…

“There were many who didn’t treat me like I was human for a long time. I feel like everyone was always used to me being the fun and happy party girl. I’ve seen people build me up, tear me down, and get confused by their expectations of me.”.

And he added: “As a black woman I also feel like people expect me to take the punches, take the stick, take the hits and handle it with grace. But I’m human.”

Months after the attack, Megan revealed that she started crying before going on stage and became depressed as she tried to heal mentally and physically from it.

“Before I went on stage, I was crying half the time because I didn’t want to perform, but I also didn’t want to upset my fans. There were dark times… I knew I wasn’t myself. It took me a while to admit I was depressed, but once I started talking to a therapist, I was able to be honest with myself. I used gymnastics to escape and become happy”concluded.

Tory Lanez was sentenced in August 2023 to 10 years in prison for three felonies. He pleaded not guilty to all charges.
