THE Pamela Anderson signed on to star alongside him Liam Neeson in its untitled remake “Naked Gun” by Paramount Pictures, based on the police parodies released in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Akiva Shaffer directs the comedy, the script of which he signed along with Dan Gregor and Doug Mudd. The trio was behind Disney+’s popular and Emmy-winning movie, “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers.”

The original 1988 film, written and directed by Jerry Zucker, Jim Abrahams and David Zucker and based on their TV series ‘Police Squad!’ which lasted only six episodes, parodied the tropes of crime dramas and movies of the time. It centered on an incompetent and clueless detective named Frank Drebin, played by Leslie Nielsen, who somehow managed to solve the crime and save the day.

Plot details have not been revealed, but Neeson is known to play Drebin.

Anderson will play the object of his lust, similar to the role Priscilla Presley played in the original film, with a mix of sexiness and goofiness.

Paramount has scheduled the film for a July 18, 2025 release.
