Son of Chico Anysio counters comedian’s widow about inheritance: ‘Low blow’

by

Nizo Neto, 57, son of comedian Chico Anysio (1931-2012), used social media to counter a series of comments made by his father’s widow, Malga di Paula, in a podcast. The businesswoman and writer claimed that she received “not a penny” from her late husband’s inheritance.

“For some time now, Mrs Malgarethe has been giving bizarre interviews, always putting herself as a victim in relation to the inheritance (which by the way does not exist) and we have never spoken,” said Nizo. “This is an inventory that has been going on for 10 years and this delay is largely due to her incompetence and omission as an inventory.”

The actor, who became known as Seu Ptolomeu from the original version of Escola do Professor Raimundo (Globo), also complained about the way Malga spoke of his brother, Cícero de Paula, who died in July 2021. The cause of death was not informed by the family at the time.

“That statement she made, using the name of my late brother Cicero with a tone of irony, was really a very nasty low blow,” continued Nizo. “Once again she uses the press to talk about a private matter, only this time she went too far using the name of Cicero, who is not here to defend himself. A great lack of respect!”

Nizo refers to the moment when Malga commented on the unfriendly relationship with the other heirs of Chico Anysio, including Cícero. “Some were more radical and didn’t want to sit down and talk,” he said. “One of them died while I was in a coma. Look how ironic life is. He was 39 years old and he was fighting me for almost ten years to receive something he will never receive.”

The comedian’s death will complete a decade on March 23. According to the widow, her health was compromised by not having access to her husband’s inheritance – she was even admitted to the ICU of a hospital after contracting Covid last year.

“It will be ten years since Chico died next month and, until today, I have not received a single cent of my inheritance and my assets are blocked”, he complains. “I was deprived of all my rights and it sickened me more.”

Malga’s statements were given to the ZonaV podcast, available on YouTube. Several press vehicles reproduced the lines.
