The singer Paulinha Abelha, 43, lead singer of the band Calcinha Preta, is in a deep coma and has the lowest degree of the scale that monitors this clinical condition. The information was confirmed this Tuesday (22) by the medical team accompanying the artist, admitted to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) of Hospital Primavera, in Aracaju (SE).
Neurologist Marco Aurélio Alves said that the singer’s situation is delicate due to a deep coma. He mentioned that Paulinha is at level 3 on the Glasgow scale – which rates the patient’s consciousness levels from 3 to 15.
“Today, our interest is to keep her alive and it’s not being an easy matter. I don’t feel comfortable talking about the possibility of sequelae in a patient who, in principle, our effort is to keep her alive. survive”, says the neurologist.
Alves explained that at the moment the team aims to make the singer pass the acute phase and recover kidney and liver functions. “The commitment now is to maintenance of life,” she said.
The technical director of the Ricardo Leite hospital explained that the artist was returning from a trip on February 11 when she complained of abdominal pain and sought the hospital service. According to him, Paulinha was diagnosed with kidney damage.
