Hanks and Wilson first met in 1981 on the set of the ABC sitcom Bosom Buddies. At the time they met, Hanks was married to his first wife, Samantha Lewis. The couple – who had two children together – officially divorced in 1987.
Hanks and Wilson reunited in 1985 on the set of ‘Volunteers’, before finally ending up together. The couple made their red carpet debut in 1986 at the premiere of ‘The Three Amigos’ and married in 1988. They have two children, in addition to the actor’s children from his first marriage.
In addition to ‘Volunteers’, Hanks and Wilson appeared together on screen when they played siblings in the 1993 romantic comedy classic ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ and last year’s film ‘Asteroid City’.
