The Comicdom Con Athens is the longest running comics festival not only in Athens, but also in the whole of Greece. 170 comics creators and illustrators, international and Greek comics and illustration exhibitions, shops and publishers, animation screenings, workshops for young and old, sketch events, Cosplay Competition, Greek Comics Awards, speeches and panels, make up the program of the great celebration of comics , Comicdom CON Athens 2024, which this year is growing and expanding to -almost- all areas of the Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens.

As always, in this year’s 18th edition, the longest-running international comics festival in Athens remains the only one of this scale, with free entry to all its activities.

Japan – The honored country

Japan, birthplace of globally popular manga and anime, will be the Honored Country of this year’s festival, with a rich program, both for fans of Japanese culture and for those who want to discover it. The actions are part of the cooperation with the Embassy of Japan in Greece, on the occasion of the Greece-Japan Year of Culture and Tourism 2024. Three exhibitions, two international and one Greek, form the core of the dedication to Japan, with the program complemented by panels, sketch event with Greek and international artists, and a rich children’s program.

International Exhibition: Make Mine Manga

Explore the history of manga, the creative techniques behind this unique art and discover the wonder of Manga-Anime. The exhibition, which aims to introduce manga to the general public, has been specially created by Paul Gravett, an iconic personality of international prestige in the field of 9th Art, who will also be at the Festival, for a live tour of the visitors through the fascinating history of manga.
