Dua Lipa has revealed her extremely demanding touring schedule as she prepares to embark on her sixth tour for her new album “Radical Optimism”.

The 28-year-old winner of seven Brit Awards, spoke to Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett in the latest episode of the hit podcast ‘Dish From Waitrose’.

Asked if her eating habits change drastically when she’s on tour, she said: “Unfortunately. But I guess once I get into the swing of things and have something of a routine and my body is really strong and healthy, I just go into “endurance mode”. I don’t drink at all. Also, I can’t eat hot sauce,” he explained, adding that he eats mostly steaks and vegetables.

Her strict, but healthy eating routine is accompanied by an equally grueling exercise program.

“It’s like rehearsals, no booze, no exercise, just preparation for all the gigs to come. Also, I’ve been doing a regular tour for a year now, so I need to get my stamina back. So, it’s just running, dancing, singing, all at the same time, to make sure I can make it…”

While touring the world, the famous artist makes sure to find time to enjoy the city she’s in as she admitted that for her, everything revolves around food.

“I think about the trip and then I think about the food and start putting it on the calendar to book places and find good restaurants,” Dua Lipa said with a smile.

Speaking about her time working on her second studio album, the “Future Nostalgia”which was released on March 27, 2020, the artist revealed that the coronavirus and “global lockdown” has turned her expectations upside down.

“I was so excited about ‘Future Nostalgia’ and I was thinking that when it comes out, people will be dancing in the clubs and the songs will be heard everywhere. And then the lockdown happens”, he said meaningfully. And he added: “However, everything happens for a reason.”

Analyzing the choice behind her latest album title “Radical Optimism” Dua Lipa said: “I basically started thinking about the third album and I already had the title: ‘Radical Optimism’, which for me was about resilience and if things don’t go your way, you just keep going.”
