Indonesia, the country with 17,000 islands, is the most beautiful in the world. This is the conclusion of money.co.uk research, analyzing the natural beauties – from coral reefs to rainforests and volcanoes – of 50 places around the world.
“While beauty is purely subjective, it is clear that these countries have a lot to offer visitors, whether they prefer mountain adventure or relaxing on the beach,” says money.co.uk’s Sal Haqqi.
In second place on the list was New Zealand, scoring 7.27 out of 10 in the beauty index, with its mountain peaks, ice and active volcanoes.
It is followed by Colombia, which like Indonesia and New Zealand, has a large coastline and a variety of landscapes, from the Amazon to the Andes.
The US was in 12th place, below countries such as Mexico (in 5th place) and France (in 8th place).
As for the position of Greece, with 4.71 out of 10 in the beauty index, it is in 37th place on the list. That is, lower than countries such as Bolivia, Nicaragua and Jamaica but higher than Thailand, Venezuela and El Salvador.
