The TJ-SP (São Paulo Court of Justice) accepted last Thursday (24) the divorce request made by presenter Ana Hickmann. Now, she is legally the ex-wife of businessman Alexandre Correa.

The request, made after Hickmann reported a case of domestic violence in November last year, was made based on the Maria da Penha Law. Thus, the decision in favor of the presenter occurs six months after the request, according to documents obtained by the F5.

The court also granted two requests from Hickmann. The first is that Alexandre is prevented from speaking publicly about the matter. If he fails to comply, he will pay a fine of R$5,000.

The court also exempted the presenter from paying a monthly pension worth R$42,000, something that had been requested by Alexandre in the lawsuit. For the judge who signs the decision, there is no reason for payment.

The businessman’s defense argues that the pension is a way of compensating him, as he has been without money since separating from Hickmann. The former model’s defense, on the other hand, says that the request is a “grotesque act of procedural harassment”.

In the coming weeks, the Court must define how the couple’s assets will be divided, as they have been married under a community property agreement since 1998.

In parallel, Hickmann and Correa are still facing each other in court over another issue. The presenter alleges that he made deals by forging her signature to embezzle money while they were married.

Her lawyers claim that the businessman transferred R$41.8 million to private accounts, according to a technical report delivered to the defense. Alexandre denies the accusations.
