My daughter is on the right side, says Anitta’s father about the Chamber’s rejection of the singer

Anitta’s father, Mauro Machado used social media to criticize the approval of a repudiation motion made by the Chamber of Deputies against his daughter. Some of them stated that Madonna’s show, in which she participated, would have had an erotic bias.

“I see this with great pride. Where this motion came from, I consider it a compliment. It clearly shows that my daughter is on the right side of history”, wrote the singer’s father in Stories.

The motion made by a Chamber committee also repudiated Madonna and Pablo Vittar for their performance in Copacabana, in Rio de Janeiro, at the beginning of May.

The request was presented by deputy Chris Tonietto (PL-RJ) within the Social Security, Social Assistance, Childhood, Adolescence and Family Committee. The text, however, will not bring legal repercussions for the artists.

In the menu, parliamentarians point out a “vilification of the faith of the majority of the Brazilian population, and the harmful content presented, with a strong erotic bias”.

“The aforementioned singer [Madonna] symbols and elements of satanic rites were used, in clear mockery of the Christian religion, the majority throughout the country. Furthermore, the erotic and pornographic-inspired character of their choreographies, which simulated sexual positions and real orgies on stage, in addition to making them inappropriate for the younger audience of the performance, which was broadcast on national television, being followed by millions of Brazilians from all ages, including children, seriously offends the moral principles of the majority of the Brazilian population”, says an excerpt from the request.

Madonna’s show on May 4th attracted 1.6 million people, according to Riotur’s calculation. With this, the presentation entered the list of the biggest shows in the world, based on what has already been recorded by Guinness World Records.
