Emilia Clarke admitted that he thought he would be fired from the Game Of Thrones, after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. The 37-year-old actress, who rose to fame as Daenerys Targaryen, suffered a brain haemorrhage while working out in 2011.

Clarke didn’t want to publicize the serious health problem she was dealing with and kept it – largely – a secret from her co-stars on the show. But she admitted she was worried as she thought bosses would not consider her fit to continue in her job. Doctors also discovered a second brain bleed in 2013 while he was still playing in the series.

In a new interview with the ‘Big Issue’, she discussed the difficulties of returning to work after the brain haemorrhage.

She specifically stated: “After the two aneurysms I had I changed many things in my life. Your sense of self changes on such a dramatic level and all the insecurities you have, entering the workplace, quadruple overnight.

The first fear we all had was: “Oh my God, are I going to get fired?” Are they going to fire me because they don’t think I’m up to the job?”

Clarke was back at work within weeks of her first brain bleed, but remembers fearing she would die from another bleed because of the stress and pressure of working in front of thousands of people and cameras.

He added: “Lwell, if I’m going to die, I’d better die live.” After recovering from her injuries, Clarke and her mother, Jennifer Clarke, set up a charity to help people facing the same problem. Clarke has previously spoken about how fragile, sensitive and scared she felt after this health ordeal.
