The widower of singer Paulinha Abelha, Clevinho Santos, paid tribute to her this Saturday (26), on his social networks. “I never imagined going through such great pain!”, he wrote in his Instagram stories, where he posted a photo next to the artist, who was the lead singer of Calcinha Preta.
The singer died on Wednesday night (23), at the age of 43, due to kidney complications. Since then, the husband had already published other photos of the singer on his Instagram feed. On Thursday (24), in a photo of Paulinha with angel wings, he captioned it: “I will love you forever”.
This Friday (25), he posted a video with a compilation of the vocalist’s performances. “You have transformed the lives of thousands of people, across generations. A woman who brought freedom and empowerment through music,” he wrote. “Your place on stage and in our hearts will be eternal. Fly in peace, Bee!”
The singer’s funeral took place this Friday afternoon, in Simão Dias (SE), her hometown. The public also managed to honor the artist in two wakes, one in Aracaju and another also in Simão Dias.
The singer had been hospitalized on February 11 after complaining of abdominal pain after returning from a trip. She then sought medical attention when she was diagnosed with kidney damage. There is no information on what would have caused the problem.
Paulinha’s sister, Andrea Abelha, also spoke about her sister’s death on her Instagram profile. “For me you will always be alive, happy as always. Now, you will enchant the sky with your sympathy and joy, one day we will see you. I love you.”
