The singer Anne Wilson of Heart, announced that he is suffering from cancer and will undergo treatment. Due to this situation, the band is postponing their upcoming ‘Royal Flush Tour’ concerts in North America.

In a statement, the singer said that she underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor and is currently recovering. Doctors urged her to undergo preventive chemotherapy while taking a break from concerts “in order to make a full recovery”. This means that the remaining concerts of the tour will take place in 2025.

“To the ticket holders, I really wish we could do these concerts. Please know that I plan to definitely return to the stage in 2025″ Wilson said in the release.

“My team is working out the details and we will let you know about the new schedule as soon as possible.”

According to the announcement, all tickets will be redeemed while the new dates will be announced in the coming weeks. “It’s just a short break. I still have many years to sing,” Wilson continued, before adding: “With all due respect, this is the last public statement I would like to make on the matter.”

More than 50 concerts in stadiums and arenas in dozens of cities in the US and Canada have been postponed. According to AP, the band will be joined by Def Leppard and Journey.

Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, pioneers in the hard rock arena, enjoyed huge success as members of the Seattle group Heart in 1970 with Roger Fisher, Michael Derosier, Howard Leese and Steve Fossen. The group became famous with the songs “Alone”, “Crazy on You” and “Magic Man”. In April 2013, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 2023 they were honored by the Recording Academy.
