Wanessa Camargo, 41, had quite a scare on Wednesday afternoon (3): the car that was taking her to a recording session at SBT caught fire in the middle of a highway. The singer was not injured but was frightened by the incident. “When we started to smell something burning, I asked them to stop the car. I was desperate,” explained Zezé Di Camargo’s eldest daughter.
The singer said she didn’t think twice about running out of the car and joked about her appearance: “Look at the situation: me as Dona Florinda in the middle of the road. The car was on fire and I shouted: ‘stop, stop’. It’s very dangerous and I was scared.”
Wanessa also reflected that the situation could have been worse. “God is so good that the car broke down while passing the toll booth, in a place where we could stop. Two minutes before, I was in the middle of the tunnel. How was I going to stop there? In the middle of the highway, with no access to anywhere to stop the car.”
Finally, the former BBB praised the employee who was with her in the car. She said he was quick to control the fire. “You were quick with the extinguisher and prevented the worst from happening. What causes a car to catch fire? It just went in for a check-up and came back fine,” she recalled.
