Prince William was spotted taking a ride around Windsor Castle on his electric scooter.

He was captured in action whistling through the castle gates by a fan, and the 8-second clip was then shared on social media.

The heir to the British throne he wore black glasses and was dressed casually, with a black pants, blue blouse, white shirt and sneakers.

According to Hello, he gifted himself the £6,000 skate last year.

The royal couple and their three children live at the historic estate, Adelaide Cottage, with William regularly hosting meetings at the castle.

The distance between the family home and Windsor Castle is three miles round trip, which is a 30 minute walk.
