Two of his books Anthony Bourdain they will be re-released in special editions in the fall. In particular, the 20th anniversary edition of the late chef, presenter and author will be released “Les Halles Cookbook: Strategies, Recipes, and Techniques of Classic Bistro Cooking”which will feature a new foreword by fellow chef, author and Prune founder Gabrielle Hamilton.

The cookbook is filled with simple instructions for preparing classic French bistro dishes, from Bourdain’s roast beef ribs to pan-fried steaks to escargots aux noix.

Fans will also enjoy the return of Bourdain’s book “Typhoid Mary: An Urban Historical”which follows the story of cook Mary Malone as she spreads a disease through New York kitchens for years.

“Taking us behind the doors of New York kitchens around 1900, Typhoid Mary reveals the horrific conditions that allowed typhus to spread deadly over a decade.” he says in the description of the book, which is a combination of history, true crime and a closer look at the life of a chef.

American chef, host of CNN’s travel and culinary show “Parts Unknown,” Anthony Bourdain ended his life in a hotel room in Alsace, France in 2018.

The books “Anthony Bourdain’s Les Halles: Strategies, Recipes, and Techniques of Classic Bistro Cooking” and “Typhoid Mary: An Urban Historical” are to be released on October 15 by the British publishing house Bloomsbury.
