-How are you after the attack you received outside a pharmacy in Glyfada?

“I’m still shocked. I was locked in my house for more than five days. My neck and spine still hurt. As much as I have said it, some laws must be changed in Greece. You can’t owe the tax office and go to jail and someone who beats you can walk free on the street. It’s been bad lately. We’ll be a jungle in the end».

-What exactly happened to this man and why did he attack you?

“I went into a pharmacy to get medicine – with a very large parking lot – and a guy walks into the pharmacy and started cursing very offensively about the car. I hadn’t shut him down, but even if that had happened, the way he treated me was unacceptable.

I go outside and tell him: “Now I’m going to get the police, you bum”! Then he took off and hit me with the car, I fell on the hood. He got out, grabbed my arms and threw me into the car.

There were some people there and they separated us, mostly the women. They were asking me to calm down. But how; With a man who has cursed me, hit me, stepped on me. In the end they will curse us, beat our women and they will go unpunished».

-Finally when you went to the department, didn’t you sue him?

“HeyWhen I wasn’t in the department with him, I was so nervous that I couldn’t see him. My son came to file a lawsuit, but this gentleman told him a story, that he has lost his job and has a sick child with a certain problem. There my child bent, as I also bent.

Now that I think about it, of course, I am angry with myself for letting this gentleman go unpunished after such an incident. I say again that the laws in Greece should be changed. Someone who is violent and beats should either go to jail or be fined heavily. Trust me, they’ll be more bothered by a fine than jail time. He apologized at the end and that he was sorry».
