In the highly entertaining film “Thelma” by Josh Margolin (Josh Margolin), “93-year-old Thelma Post is victimized over the phone by a con artist posing as her grandson.” She decides to seek him out to get her revenge and the $10,000 he gave him.

According to the Guardian, it’s a movie that has it all: guns, explosions and stunts that are “based” on electric scooters.

It is the first leading role in the 70-year career of Oscar nominee June Squibb. The script is inspired by a true experience that the writer-director’s grandmother had.

When Squibb read the Mission: Impossible-inspired script, she knew she had to do all the stunts herself. “I’m more confident in my body than a lot of people and I thought the scooter ride would be a lot of fun,” he said.

Her schedule was exhausting, but she herself is bright and feisty. She says she is in excellent health, although “I should do more Pilates because I’ve had such a crazy schedule. I did one hour a week with a trainer and saw a huge difference. I’m in good shape,” he added.

Until now the actress played small roles and lent her voice to a character in the movie “Inside Out 2″. Asked if he has ever wanted bigger roles, he said: “Never. I did exactly the jobs I wanted to do. There was never that feeling.”

He was born in 1929 and declares that he has been an actor “since always”. “It never occurred to me to do anything else. Every role is for me an opportunity to become better, to learn something” he noted.

Squibb also just finished filming Eleanor the Great, in which she plays a 90-year-old who returns to New York after decades. This is the directorial debut of Scarlett Johansson, whom she describes as “so bright and intelligent”.

According to the Guardian, the movie “Thelma” opens in theaters on July 19.
