Rodrigo Faro’s brother is robbed and held hostage inside his home

Businessman Danilo Faro, brother of Rodrigo Faro, reported in an interview with Tá na Hora (SBT) that he was robbed at his home this Friday (19).

Danilo, who was preparing to travel, said he was surprised by two armed men, who held him and his maid hostage inside his apartment in Jardins. The suspects had entered the building posing as bricklayers from a neighboring apartment that was undergoing renovation.

“I was getting ready to leave and when I looked there was a guy with a gun pointed at my head inside my room,” Danilo told SBT.

According to the businessman, the two suspects tied him and the maid by their wrists and legs, locked them both in a room and took jewelry, watches and money. They still insisted on knowing where the safe was, which Danilo said he didn’t have.

“Wanting to get out of the situation, I helped. I showed them where the watches and jewelry were. They took everything,” Danilo told the station. “Surprisingly, I remained very calm. Maria, my collaborator, was very nervous, so I tried to stay calm.”

According to the victim, the robbery lasted about 20 minutes. After the suspects fled, he and the employee managed to untie themselves and call for help. No one was injured.

The SSP reported, via press office, that “a 47-year-old man had his residence robbed on Friday morning (19), around 10 am, on Alameda Itu, in Jardim Paulista, central region of São Paulo. Military police officers responded to the incident and, at the indicated address, were informed by the victim that a 49-year-old woman, who works at the location, was approached by two armed men. They fled taking two cell phones and ten wristwatches. The case was registered as a robbery by the 78th Police District (Jardins),” the note states.
