For many years the Athena Kampakoglou she has carved out a very beautiful career behind the cameras and the latter and in front since the ERT music show “The yard of colors” was her own inspiration and realization and left her with the satisfaction that it went very well. Speaking to Sozi, which is also published by Panagiotis Vazaios, the journalist did not mince her words

-You work in a highly demanding and competitive area. Have you ever experienced bad behavior? Is it true that you’ve lost your job because you spoke back when you were bowled over?

“Our work, like life itself, is like an orchard or rather a field, there you will meet beautiful trees and beautiful flowers, you will also meet bushes with many thorns and trees with rotten fruit. And many climbing plants, some of which smell good, but some of which “suffocate” you to grow…

Insecurity reigns and an unprofitable competition, more intense than in other places because there is projection, the most disgusting of all is the “grandiosity” that some people have about themselves, as a result we are led to comic-tragic situations.

Space is full of huge EGOs that are out of touch with reality and society. So everyone in this life sets their priorities and moves on, I have resolved my differences with everyone, I have nothing to “burden” me. Of course I react when I am offended, this is also a matter of character.

But I prefer to remember the good things, keep my good friends through work and not drink the “poison” that they treat me from time to time. It is also a matter of survival to manage not to be poisoned by others, with their betrayals and their dishonest attitudes, their selfishness and their ingratitude.

These are nice strenuous exercises, because trained bodies are nice, but “trained” souls are more beautiful. Nice fight trying to “stay” clean and make it through the battles unscathed. And let me tell you something, what good does it do to become a ‘successful’ monster?”

-When you went in front of the cameras, did you feel the competition around you intensify? Did you see a change in attitudes?

“It always happens that they remember you and forget you, they talk to you or they don’t talk to you depending on what they can get out of you and that’s not always a bad thing, everyone is trying to do their job.

Some others act as if you stole their food or their luck. If you start dealing with everyone’s irrationality, you’ll go crazy in the end.

You must always carry a small basket and be grounded. I experienced this on a very small scale of course, I’m not Brad Pitt either (laughs), but imagine the people who at some point came very strongly to the fore and then were forgotten, how painful all this can become if there is no spiritual background.

I have found this in many cases of actors who rode the reed and galloped and after a while ate their livers. When you pin all your hopes on vanities, you will probably burn out. TV is part of our job, not our reason for being.

From the reactions and words of others, I understood the power of television, we don’t need to be mad about a high chair, other things are important in life. I also say this as an advice to young television colleagues to guard their value code in order to last.”

-What was your happiest moment on TV?

“Many, there are shows that I’m really proud of, ‘Courtyard of Colors’ wrote its own story. What surprised me, because I didn’t expect it, was the love I received after the show ended. Many people stopped me on the street, they sent me many private and public messages of support, I experienced many warm expressions of love. From the world and from the artists.

I really didn’t expect it and I have to admit that I was very happy about it. Look and see how the people finally loved our “Avli”.

-How was your collaboration with Christos Nikolopoulos in “Avli”?
