The famous artist first found a buyer for the residence last April, and the deal was finalized on Wednesday, July 24, according to People. The sale came on her 55th birthday and the same day her husband bought his own home, worth $20.5 million. All the international media are now talking about the separation of the couple.

The singer first listed the home — which is located in the Whitman Building near Madison Square Park — in October 2017. The home then went on the market through two different real estate agencies in the years that followed, according to the New York Post.

The residence has four bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. THE Lopez bought the luxury home for $20.16 million in 2014, according to property records.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez’s husband Ben Affleck bought his own house on the same day the singer celebrated her 55th birthday. The pair haven’t been photographed together in months amid ongoing break-up rumors and spent most of the summer apart.
