French pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati, 21, received a million-dollar offer from a porn site after his performance at the Paris Olympics went viral for an unusual reason. Last Saturday (3), the athlete was eliminated from the competition because his penis hit the bar that measured the height of his jumps.
According to TMZ, porn site CamSoda offered the athlete $250,000 (around R$1.5 million) to pose nude for an hour for the site. The proposal was to turn the athlete’s frustration into a positive one, as he finished 15th in the competition but gained over 100,000 followers on Instagram.
“If it were up to me, I would reward you for what everyone saw, your talent below the belt. As a lover of groin-centric activities, I would love to offer you up to $250,000 in exchange for a 60-minute webcam show in which you show off your assets, without the pole, of course,” reads a letter from the company’s vice president, Daryn Parker, addressed to the athlete, released by TMZ.
After the defeat, Ammirati issued a statement through the French Athletics Federation, but did not mention the accident: “I am a bit devastated because I didn’t lose anything on the third attempt at 5.70m. What I lost was a bit of jumping in training to adjust the settings. Just a technical session.”
