After a victorious performance at the Paris Olympics, Rebeca Andrade is back in Brazil and praised her mother in a Father’s Day message. The gymnast shared a photo in which she hugs Dona Rosa after winning the gold medal.

“Happy Father’s Day to her, who carries the most difficult role in life, which is to raise and educate. She did and continues to do this masterfully to this day. My greatest pride in life is being similar to you in heart and soul. I love you, mommy,” he wrote.

Rebeca also remembered the coach in a photo and congratulated him on the date. The gymnast also posted a video in which she sings “Amarelo, azul e branco”, by Anavitória and Rita Lee, and reflected on her participation in the event.

“It’s about having the strength to not give up, having determination and fighting until the end. It’s about encouraging, supporting and making others believe that it’s possible! It’s about representing everyone and feeling represented too! It’s about getting on the podium to receive your medal and being proud regardless of your color, because only you know what you had to face to get there. It’s getting on the podium of life after having given your all and living an Olympics!”

The Brazilian won four medals at the Games and became the country’s biggest medalist. She has two golds, three silvers and one bronze.
