We knew Mark Zuckerberg is a tech whiz, but it turns out he’s also the husband everyone wishes they had.

The 40-year-old Facebook founder announced in a post on Instagram that he ordered and received a statue of his wife Priscilla Chan, 39, to express his love to her, as the ancient Romans would have done.

The photo shows Priscilla Chan sipping her drink from a travel mug while wearing a pink robe with white and blue detailing while standing next to her statue to show her gratitude. The colorful artwork, created by Daniel Arsham, depicts the mother of three walking forward wearing a wind-blown silver dress.

Zuckerberg captioned his post: “Let’s bring back the tradition of making statues of your wife.”

His wife Chan retweeted his post with the humorous comment, “You’re not going to miss me.”

The timeline of the relationship

The couple first met at a university party in 2003 when they were both attending Harvard. They married in a surprise outdoor ceremony in May 2012 at their home in Palo Alto, California. The guests were under the impression that the party was to celebrate Chan’s graduation from medical school.

Three years later, Zuckerberg and Chan welcomed their first child Maxima, 8. They also have two daughters, August and Aurelia, the latter of whom was born in 2022.
