Tiago Abravanel spoke again about the health of his grandfather, presenter Silvio Santos, this Wednesday (14). He said that the owner of SBT, 93, remains hospitalized at the Albert Einstein Hospital, in São Paulo, and reaffirmed the family’s optimism that the patriarch will return home soon. The actor also explained the care taken regarding the communicator’s hospitalization and, for this reason, he has not yet visited his grandfather.
“It’s super restricted. Obviously the family is taking care of him, but thank God he’s doing really well and being looked after by all the doctors. The hospital staff is wonderful. With everyone’s faith, he’ll get through this soon,” Tiago told Quem magazine during the launch of Preta Gil’s autobiography in Rio.
Tiago, who is currently performing in the musical “Hairspray” in Rio, recalled that the decision to hospitalize him was made by Silvio Santos. “He is very concerned about himself. That’s good, right? It’s important,” commented the presenter’s grandson, who said he is also a person who tries to take care of himself. “Health has to always be about ensuring that we can do everything we want for longer,” concluded Tiago.
In July, Silvio Santos was diagnosed by doctors with H1N1 flu and was admitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo. Days later, the presenter was discharged, but returned to the hospital in early August.
