It was supposed to be a peaceful weekend at the farm of Sid Wilson, DJ of heavy metal band Slipknot and singer Kelly Osbourne, but a domestic accident messed up the couple’s plans. An explosion in the outdoor fire pit sent the two to the hospital in Iowa, this Friday (23). While the daughter of rocker Ozzy Osbourne was not injured, Sid suffered serious burns on his arms, face and lips.
He made a video describing what had happened: “My face and my cheeks are burned. I had an explosion on my face,” the DJ said in a video. “I’m getting some X-rays to make sure I didn’t breathe in any flames,” he concluded.
According to the musician, he was trying to light a fire when it exploded in his face. Kelly Osbourne, who is also a presenter, rushed her boyfriend to the emergency room of a health unit. Sid was discharged this Saturday (24), after 24 hours of observation.
After the scare, she complained. “That’s why you shouldn’t mess with burning things in the fire. You don’t mess with burn piles.” [Sid Wilson] literally set himself on fire and blew everything up,” Kelly explained. “Burn piles,” which is when you gather forest debris and burn it to prevent wildfires.
