British rock band Oasis announced on Tuesday that they will reunite after 15 years, with brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher planning a series of live shows in 2025.

The band, whose debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ was released 30 years ago, broke up in 2009 when lead guitarist and main songwriter Noel said he could no longer work with Liam, the band’s frontman.

“This is it, this is happening,” the band told X, announcing that tickets will go on sale Saturday.

The first show will take place in Cardiff on July 4 next year.

Oasis will play a total of 14 concerts in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin.

A tour in 2025 will mark the 30th anniversary of the second album “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”, which featured the singles “Don’t Look Back in Anger” and “Wonderwall”.

The news of their reunion started circulating before their official announcement, preparing the public with a post.

The dissolution of the band

In August 2009, Noel Gallagher announced his departure from Oasis, following yet another row with his brother Liam backstage at a concert.

Liam Gallagher maintained that the remaining band members would continue to make music together, but ruled out the possibility of the band continuing under the Oasis name, forming the band Beady Eye which maintained the original Oasis sound until their break-up in 2014.
