Vinicius Rodrigues, participant of BBB 24, shared on social media his arrival in Paris for the Paralympics, which begin this Wednesday (28). The sprinter will compete in the 100 m athletics T63 class.
“Another game to go. Thank you to everyone who was part of this,” wrote Vinicius in the caption of the photo, in front of the flags of the countries participating in the Paralympic Games. The athlete already participated in the Tokyo edition of the games, when he won the silver medal.
Vinicius did not attend the opening ceremony, according to what he posted on his Instagram. “Watching the opening ceremony in good shape to train well tomorrow,” he wrote, as he will compete next Monday and Tuesday. “I’m counting on everyone’s support, on the 1st and 2nd, on the Olympic stadium track, at 9:30 pm, Paris time and 4:30 pm, Brazil time,” he wrote.
At the age of 19, Vinicius suffered a motorcycle accident that resulted in the amputation of his left leg. While recovering in the hospital, he was visited by Terezinha Guilhermina, an athlete who has won eight Paralympic medals. She encouraged Vinicius to start a career in sports.
In the comments, the athlete received messages of support from his BBB 24 colleagues. “Up, brother!” wished former BBB Maycon Cosmer. “Let’s go up!” commented Nizam.
