Reclusive in recent years, Angelina Jolie drew attention when she walked the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday (29). The actress is promoting the film “Maria”, in which she plays opera singer Maria Callas.
Jolie is still in a legal dispute with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, who will also be attending the Festival, presenting the film “Wolves”. To prevent the two from meeting in front of thousands of cameras, the event has set up a foolproof scheme.
“Angelina will arrive on Thursday and will leave the event shortly after, with [o diretor] Pablo LarraÃn, to head to the Telluride Film Festival [nos Estados Unidos]. Brad will only arrive in Venice on Saturday. There is no way they will cross paths on the Lido island,” Alberto Barbera, artistic director of the Venice Film Festival, told Vanity Fair magazine.
Since their separation in 2016, Jolie and Pitt have been fighting a few battles. Their divorce was only finalized in 2023, but a winery in France is still a source of headache for the former couple.
The family feud extends to their children. Shiloh Jolie, the former couple’s daughter, managed to permanently remove her father’s surname. She filed a lawsuit as soon as she turned 18.
