Selena Gomez responded positively to the call of a Colorado high school volleyball team to visit them for a home game. “They asked for it!!! I couldn’t help it, it’s my first time at Telluride!”the Emmy nominee shared in an Instagram post.

It is noted that Gomez was in town for the Telluride Film Festival and her new movie “Emilia Pérez,” directed by Jacques Audiard.

She also released a series of photos and videos from her visit to the school, starting with the invitation poster made by students at Telluride High School: “Selena Gomez, please sing the national anthem at one of our home games”had written suggesting two dates as options.

“I saw the sign, so I had to pass”the ‘Only Murders in the Building’ star can be heard saying in the video she shared, which then shows her posing for photos and signing autographs.

Last week saw the premiere of Season 4 of Only Murders in the Building, in which Gomez reunites with her co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short to solve new mysteries alongside guest stars.

“Emilia Pérez” is expected to open in select theaters on November 1 before debuting on Netflix on November 13, Deadline reports.
