The singer, who announced her engagement to Rich Paul, told fans she wants to live now…
Adele told her fans she won’t be seeing them for “an incredibly long time” after wrapping up the final show of her European tour in Munich, Germany.
The 36-year-old artist told her fans that she “needs a rest” and wants to live a new life.
The London-born star announced her engagement during a concert in Munich, having previously said she would be taking a “big break” from music.
Adele told the audience at her last concert: “I’d like to thank you so much for coming to my show tonight, I’d like to thank everyone who has come to any of my shows so much. I’m not the most comfortable performer, but I’m very good at it and – really – I’ve been enjoying the shows for almost three years now, which is the longest I’ve ever done and probably the longest I’ll ever do.”
And Adele added: “I will not see you for a long time and I will have you – beloved and beloved – in my heart. I don’t know how much I will miss… I will think about all the concerts and performances I have given over the years.
I really, really hold them in my heart forever, they’ve been amazing, I just need a break and I’ve spent the last seven years ‘building’ a new life for myself and I want to live it now.”
Adele rose to fame in 2008 with her first album ’19’, before releasing her second albums ’21’ in 2011 and ’25’ in 2015.
Her second album is the fourth best-selling album of all time in the UK, behind Queen, ABBA and The Beatles.
