The Italian fashion house Giorgio Armani and the Kith brand chose the famous director Martin Scorsese to be the star of their new campaign for a special menswear collection.

It is the first collaboration between Armani and Kith, but not the first between the Italian house and Martin Scorsese. The American director, whose parents were Italian-Americans, is a longtime friend of the fashion house.

In an announcement from Kith, it is stated that Martin Scorsese and the founder of the Italian house, Giorgio Armani, have been friends for many years. Their close relationship led him to direct the “Made in Milan”a documentary about the life of the designer and the development of the brand.

Giorgio Armani and Kith brands created four archetypes, which served as inspiration for menswear design – The Artist, The Entertainer, The Traveler and The Entrepreneur. Capsule collections consist of garments with distinct fabrics, shapes and color palettes.

Giorgio Armani and Kith launch Archetype, their first joint menswear collection for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2024 season, combining the distinct sensibilities of both brands.

“Through his revolutionary and defining work in cinema, Mr. Scorsese is the definition of an Artist” says a statement from Kith, about the star of the campaign for The Artist collection.

“Even from our first conversations, I knew I wanted this collection to revolve around the suit” said Kith founder and creative director Ronnie Fieg. “For me, ‘suit’ and ‘Giorgio Armani’ are synonymous. As I began to think about the story I was going to tell, I knew I wanted to pay tribute and respect to Giorgio Armani’s career and life by featuring the men I believe he has most inspired,” he explained.

American actor and musician Keith Stanfield has been chosen to front the campaign for ‘The Entertainer’ collection, Irish actor Pierce Brosnan will showcase ‘The Traveler’ collection and Kith’s founder is the centerpiece of ‘The Entrepreneur’ collection.
