Ever since she burst onto the scene in the 1980s, Moore, 61, hasn’t shied away from nude scenes — from playing a dancer in 1996’s Striptease to her starring role in 1995’s The Scarlet Letter.

The actress has graced many magazine covers, showing off her shapely figure, much to the delight of the male population. In August 1991, the famous actress appeared naked on the cover of “Vanity Fair”. She was seven months pregnant with the second of her three daughters.

Most recently, Moore posed nude on the cover of “Harper’s Bazaar” in October 2019.

Speaking about her nude scenes in an interview with Variety on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, she said: “One of the biggest misconceptions about me is that I loved my body.

The reality is that – in large part – I sought out these roles because I wanted to overcome my body insecurities. The same thing happened with the Vanity Fair covers – it wasn’t that I loved them – it was to try to free myself from the enslavement space I had put myself in.” said the actress with disarming honesty.
