One of the main actresses in the Netflix series “Sex Education”, Gillian Anderson is releasing a book about women’s sexual fantasies. The collection, which brings together female stories from around the world, was born from a project called “Dear Gillian”, created by herself with the aim of opening a space for women to confess their erotic fantasies.

Gillian said she received more than a thousand intimate and spicy reports and selected some of them for the book “Desejo” (the original title is “Want”) which has just been released in Brazil by Vestígio (a label of Grupo Autêntica) and has a subtitle: “Women of the World Reveal Their Fantasies of Love and Sex”.

The actress claims to have received reports from women of various sexual orientations: pansexual, bisexual, asexual, aromantic, lesbian, heterosexual and queer. All identities have been protected, but she provides information such as nationality, sexual orientation and marital status. “It is interesting to note that many of the letters detailing fantasies of being dominated and giving up control come from women with great professional responsibility and power, who are also responsible for keeping domestic and family life on track,” says Gillian Anderson in an interview with the newspaper O Globo.

The book contains only one fantasy of a single, 18-year-old Brazilian lesbian. She is a virgin, but thinks a lot about sex. “I have a fantasy of being dominated by this woman I invented. She has soft, tanned skin and short, curly brown hair,” says the young woman, who describes a torrid sex scene that spans two pages. For Anderson, the book aims to “eliminate the taboo of fantasies and bring excitement, fun and appreciation to everything we can do with our bodies.”
