This Saturday (7), model and actress Alane Dias will be announced as the new muse of Grande Rio. The school from Duque de Caxias, a municipality in Baixada Fluminense, will pay tribute to the state of Pará at Carnival 2025 and chose the former BBB as one of the highlights of the group.
The presentation event for Alane, who is from Pará, will take place in Belém (PA), with the presence of the drum queen Paolla Oliveira and members of the school’s board of directors.
Living in Rio since the end of the reality show in May, Alane will debut at Sapucaí: “I am very honored to be the muse in a tribute to my Pará. Being able to represent my state and help bring our culture to the biggest popular festival in the world will be incredible”, she explained.
A trained ballerina, Alane also says she knows how to samba. “I love dancing and carimbó has a lot of the swing of samba, so I think I’ll get this part down pat. But you need to have stamina for the entire route around the Sambadrome, so I’m going to dedicate myself more and more to the exercises,” she said.
The school promises to delve into the world of Carimbó to tell the story of Mariana, Jarina and Herondina, the Beautiful Turks; and Cabocla Jurema, who, as the school wrote in the synopsis of the plot, “personifies the forest itself”. Carnival designers Leonardo Bora and Gabriel Haddad promise to celebrate the mysteries, customs and festivities of the Amazon in Pará.
