The São Paulo Civil Police have ruled out that Maidê Mahl’s disappearance was related to any crime. After three days missing, the actress was found with injuries on her body on Thursday night (5) in a hotel in downtown São Paulo. She remains hospitalized at the Hospital das Clínicas (HCFMUSP).

According to the police, Maidê was unconscious in the room when she was found. The room was in disarray and controlled substances were seized, including a prescription medication that the actress was taking. One of the hypotheses raised by the agents of the Homicide and Personal Protection Department (DHPP) is that Maidê had convulsions.

DHPP Director, Ivalda Aleixo believes that the actress was unconscious for up to 48 hours due to spasms, which also caused the bruises found on the actress’s head, legs and arms. In an interview with CNN, she also said that guests reported hearing noises similar to furniture moving in the room where the actress was.

The delegate also stated that investigations showed that no other person entered the hotel room between Monday (2) and Thursday (5) – one of the factors for the police to have ruled out any connection with a crime.

Friends of Maidê, who have already given statements, said that the actress was very shaken after losing her sister in June of this year. Geruse Mahl was the middle daughter of three sisters and died of cancer at the age of 36.

THE F5 contacted the São Paulo State Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP), which responded that it would continue to investigate all the circumstances of the case. “The police authority is carrying out investigations and analyzing images from cameras at the location and nearby area to elucidate the facts,” the statement said.
