Jessilane’s team decided to go back and change its position regarding the alleged harassment that she would have suffered at BBB 22 (Globo). In the early hours of Thursday (3), the teacher was cornered by Eliezer in the pool.
“Yesterday during the edition we saw Jessi verbalizing that despite being ‘backed up’, she didn’t feel embarrassed, she took it as a joke”, commented the team on social media. “So, following the rules, we will withdraw the position on [o] episode.”
“However, we reinforce the repudiation of any type of invasion of space and actions that generate discomfort in any way”, the text continued. “Still, it’s not, not in any situation!”
By Thursday, the team had spoken much more harshly about the episode. According to the text (see the two versions below), the moment one of the two asks to stop, what goes on is no longer part of a game. “There are many forms of harassment that are not considered as such precisely because society is in favor of men.”
Eliezer’s team had also commented on the fact, noting that some media were publishing only part of the joke and distorting the businessman’s action. “It’s very important to have the call to attention, as this avoids harassment in the house, which was not the case, as it was a joke in consensus between the two.”
Even with the explanations of the two parties involved in the controversy, netizens came to ask for the expulsion of Eliezer and raised expressions such as “Jessi deserves respect” and “Fora Eliezer” to trending topics on Twitter. “Only those who go through a situation of harassment know how tense it is to react, at the time of nervousness they can react laughing, crying, screaming… there is no right reaction”, opined an internet user.
